I just finished watching episode 10 of season 1.

I strongly suggest that before you go through with the last episodes of S1 you read the manga.
The ending of S1 is anime original and doesn't work very well, it ruins a lot of the mistery IMO for reasons I won't tell here cause spoilers, most people hated the last episodes of S1 and I agree.
It's much better to read the manga up to about chapter 80(when S2 is supposed to finish) and then go back to the anime episodes after episode 10 and then S2, you will see what I mean.
Season 2 is good, I am liking it a lot, for now it is loyal to the source material.
[spoiler: The debut is the peak of the series but the rest is also very comfy and mysterious in its own way, S2 is all about daily life after the debut and a mistery related to the older childrens and star bearers]

80 chapters of manga is a lot. I don't think I want to spend that much time just to avoid a spoiler.
