P12669 The Youtube link reply
For those who are really concerned about privacy, how do you watch YouTube videos without Google gathering your information?

I didn't care about internet privacy until I came across this news article today:
https://www.inkl.com/news/optus-hacked-millions-of-customers-personal-data-exposed-in-huge-cyber-attack (text-only)

This news was also on ABC as well

Since personal information is required to get your SIM cards registered in Australia, the hackers may know your workplace, phone number or anything linked to your ID as well!

I am assured that one day hackers will leak Google user's personal data too and use your personal data (e.g. phone numbers, home address, Credit card numbers) to spam your mailbox, telephone, etc...

Probably torsocks youtube-dl. Some media players can play directly from youtube URLs. Maybe they can be set up to go through Tor. The download rate will be very slow.
