Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, have you reached a verdict?
>Yes we have, your honour, we find the OP guilty for installing an extension in Tor Browser, modifying the default setup, using a VPN with Tor, referring to Tor as "TOR", standing out from the rest of us Tor users, [bold: committing crimes against Tor!]
By virtue of the Jury's decision and the power vested in me by the state, [bold: you are hereby banned from connecting to the Tor network for life!]

OP you should use it to block clearnet elements on onions by default, don't see any problem with that.

yep, uMatrix is the only extension installed on Tor Browser. I have disabled NoScript. It's trash because NoScript doesn't block Google Ads and many trackers that might have fingerprint trackings.

jewscript can and should be disabled on the browser level in about:config. sites that require it aren't worth visiting anyways. if you're worried about fingerprinting, you shouldn't be creating a unique fingerprint by installing extensions.
P11997 link reply
Is it possible for NoScript or anything else in vanilla Tor Browser to block images?

I don't see anything in the menus. But you can try doing it in about:config if that's a thing in Tor Browser.

>How to disable images in firefox

>Go to about:config, search for this option "permissions.default.image" change it to 2.

>Possible values:

>1 -- Always load the images

>2 -- Never load the images

>3 -- Don't load third images

I'm not sure what "Don't load third images" means.

>There also are some extensions to create a toolbar button for this, in case you need to do it often. For example:

>Image Block - "Image Block adds a toggle button that conditionally blocks/allows loading of images on webpages."
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/image-block/
>QuickJava - adds buttons for turning on and off: images, animated images, JavaScript, Flash, Java... a lot of stuff that may or may not sound interesting to you

Thanks. I know on desktop Tor Browser has about:config. My phone is broken right now, so I'm not sure on mobile, which was the setting where I wanted to be sure images were blocked. Speaking of which, I wonder how well if at all Tor Browser for Android blends in with the desktop version signature-wise.

If you're going to modify the Tor browser, use whatever Tails is using as an ad blocker so that your anonymity set is larger.

They seem to be using uBlock Origin. Although you'd also want to copy their settings.
